Description settings

  • Language: Select the language for which you are up to enter the details.
  • Name*: Set the name of the category.
  • Title: Fill in the title of the category.
  • URL: Here you can set he text used in the URL for this category.
  • Description: This description will be displayed on top of the list of products of this category.
  • Bottom-description: The bottom-description will be displayed beneath the list of product.
  • External page: This setting is only available if you selected the "External link" as category-type.

General settings

  • Code*: In this obligated field you have to enter the code of the category.
  • Type:
    • Normal: Select this type of category if none of the others fits your requirements.
    • Page: Use this type of category if you need to add additional information to the category. This type will allow you to add blocks to the category-page.
    • Hidden: Selectthis type if you want the category to be hidden for the visitors.
    • Section: This type is used to insert texttitles in the structure of the categories. This type of catgegory does not link to any content.
    • External link: Select this type if you want the category to link to a page on another site.
    • New: If the type "New" is used for a category on the highest level, it will contain all products of the catalog with setting "new" as active. If you add a subcategory of the type "New", then it will contain all "new" products from there parent category.
    • Promotion: If the type "Promotion" is used for a category on the highest level, it will contain all products of the catalog with setting "Promotion" as active and the products where the promotional price has been set. If you add a subcategory of the type "Promotion", then it will contain all "promotion" products from there parent category.
  • Subcategory from: This option gives you the possibility to set the structure of the categories.
  • Image: Upload an image to associate with the category.
  • Published: If checked, the category will be visible for the visitor.
  • Accesskey: Accesskeys are used by people who are visualy impaired, the character filled in in this field can be used in combination with the "Alt" button to access the category.
