The different pagetypes
Depending on the purpose of a page you got several types at your disposal.
- Normal page: This type is used for regular pages.
- Alias page: An alias page redirects you to any existing page of your site. You have to select the needed page in the "Alias of" option listed under the "Standard" settings the alias page.
- Hidden page: Hidden pages act in the same way as normal pages, the only difference is that hidden pages are invisible in the navigation, even when they are published. They are still visible on the sitemap.
- Section: A section is a navigation element that's used for titles and separations.
- External page: External pages are used to link to pages from other sites. The URL of the external page has to be filled in in the "External page" option-field of the "Standard" settings. Check the "Open in new window" option in the "Advanced" settings if you want the external page to open in a new window.
- Sitemap: The sitemap is a structural overview of your site. To hide or show pages in the sitemap you got to check/uncheck the "Show in sitemap" option in the "Advanced" settings. This option is on by default.
